Clarification Questions Due: March 16, 2023 The County of Yuba is looking for a qualified contractor for the demolition and clean up of a 2.88 acre parcel located at 1145/1151 Ella Avenue, Olivehurst, CA 95961Proposed work will consist of demolition of multiple structures, and general property clean up including the destruction of multiple wells and septic. All questions must be submitted, in writing, to Bradley Bird, Administrative Analyst for Yuba County. Email, postal mail or hand-delivered questions are permitted. No questions will be answer verbally. COPE OF WORK & REQUIREMENTS There will not be a site walk for this project. The lot can be easily seen from the street. DELIVERABLES: e. Contractor Responsibilities: Yuba County Administrative Services RFP Number 901773 Page 3 of 15 Demolition Provide all equipment, materials, supplies, and staffing needed to conduct debris removal/clean up in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with all county, state, andfederal regulations governing such work. Demolish one substandard singlefamily dwelling, three accessory structures, and remove and dispose ofresulting debris. Make inactive two water wells and twon septic tanks according to Enviromental Health guidelines (Enviromental Health Permit required). Demolish and remove all improvements such asfoundation stem walls, piping, brick work that are above grade. Flatwork can remain where practical. Cap sewer atfoundation. a. The County will cause PG&E utilities to be removed. Remove and dispose ofall miscellaneousjunk, trash, and debris, including but not limited to, broken concrete material, scrap metal, scrap wood, and any household hazardous waste. Create a clear line ofsightfor parcel, as viewedfrom the right-of-way, by trimming and removing vegetation as directed by the assigned officer. Leave lotsurface in a clean, hazard-free condition and substantially level. All waste shall be sorted on site into recyclable, hazardous, andgeneral waste to the greatest extentfeasible. a. BriefProject Description: This project is for the demolition and clean up of a 2.88 acre parcel located at 1145/1151 Ella Avenue, Olivehurst, CA 95961 (APN 013-360-020). Proposed work will consist of demolition of multiple structures, and general property clean up including the destruction of multiple wells and septic. b. Objectives: The objective is to clear the property of all refuse, debris, brush, and other materials that consume the property. The conditions remaining on the properties constitute a Public Nuisance as defined by Yuba County Ordinance Code, and present a threat to public health and safety, fire and life safety, and property values. County will cause the gas and electric utilities to be removed from the property. **NOTE: for projects that require immediate demolition of buildings and removal of gas or electric utilities is not immediately feasible, contractor shall adequately tag the utilities and safely work around the utilities so as to not create a public health or safety hazard. Contractor is responsible for worksite safety and is responsible for any unintended or accidental damage to utilities or surrounding properties caused during abatement activities.
