Liquidated damages in the amount of $ 1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each day that work remains uncompleted after the deadline set below In addition, the bond shall guarantee against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two years after completion and acceptance by the Traer Municipal Utilities Board. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's or certified check, or a credit union certified share draft, in a separate sealed envelope in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities. Tire Board reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days after the date bids are to be received. If awarded, one ( 1) contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder for the base bid along with any alternates thereto based on the amount of work and type of materials selected by the City. Work under this project consists of approximately 1,285 feet of 18-inch PVC gravity sewer pipe. Four 48- inch diameter precast sewer manholes. The sewer outfall of Wolf Creek has RR-4 rip rap with - soil - support material to protect bank from erosion. The manhole at station 113--has an outfall flow meter installed in flow line with flow reader panel installed in UV building. The UV building and UV equipment is a part of this project. There will be a flow meter installed in the vertical outgoing pipe in the dry well ofthe existing pump station. The influent flow control structure will have structural and nonstructural work to bring structure up to full working capacity. Site restoration, seeding, along with other incidental work will be considered part of this project. This work is shown and described in detail within the specifications and plans on file with the Traer Municipal Utility Board Clerk. A $50 refundable deposit is required for all printed plan sets and specifications.
