Site work for a fire / police facility in Sandy, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.
As of June 14, 2024, this project is under construction. Sandy City Fire Station 31 will be a new fire station that will be replacing it's current Station 31 as their new primary station and Fire Administration Building. (See the conceptual design in the attachments.) New building scope will include, but not be limited to, a new station consisting of 5 apparatus drive through bays, 15 total dorms, dayroom, kitchen, dining areas, training rooms, offices, gym, locker space, storage rooms for fire and EMS equipment and associated programming. All areas shall accommodate 15 people on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Administration portion will include, but not limited to, 15 offices, to include 1 Fire Chief, 2 Deputy Chief, 1 Fire Marshal and 1 Training Chief offices with meeting tables and office desk. Offices should be designed together, 1 Chief and 2 Deputy Chiefs. 1 Fire Marshal with 3 Deputy Chiefs and 2 Community Risk Reduction offices that connect to their own training room, public meeting space, and back up emergency operations center and associated programming. A Firefighter memorial location will be required and the design shall comply with Sandy City Cairns master plan design standards.
