As of March 16, 2023, a design team has been identified and construction began on Phase 3 in September 2022 and will be completed May 2023. Phase 1/2 were completed in November 2022.
With the completion of all sewer moratorium projects in September 2019, and with no current moratorium in place, the next known deficiency to address in the sanitary sewer collection system is Infiltration and Inflow. For that reason, the Public Works Department will be pursuing the Infiltration and Inflow (I & I) Abatement Program in the upcoming biennium. 3-phase project, condensed to 2 phases (Phases 1 & 2 were consolidated due to lack of bidders for Phase 2) • Engineering Scope: Evaluate approximately 14,000 LF of sewer mainline for defects and recommend rehabilitation. Based upon evaluation, design project(s) and provide inspection services.
• Phase 1 Scope: Rehab 6,400 LF of 6-to-10-inch concrete sewer via CIPP Lining. Replace 34 laterals and reinstate 100 laterals internally (including the replaced laterals). Minor amount of trench patching (associated with the lateral replacement).
• Phase 2 Scope: Replace existing sewer main via HDD installation of 8-inch HDPE pipe along new alignment. Replace 10 laterals. Minor trench patching (associated with boring pits).
• Phase 3 Scope: Replace 4,900 LF of 8-to-10-inch concrete sewer via pipe bursting and 3,100 LF of 6-to-10-inch concrete sewer via open trenching. Replace 90 laterals. Significant trench patching. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
