House Demolition includes the full razing of an existing former Vat House and Gypsum Storage Building located at the former Peter Cooper site located at 8850 5th Avenue in the City of Oak Creek, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The approximately 164,000 square foot building located at the Site to be demolished as part of the Work (Figure 2) 1. Work of this Contract comprises of demolition of the Vat House/Gypsum Storage Building a. Items required to complete the work generally include, but are not limited to; site preparation, management and disposal of standing water at the identified location, asbestos abatement, demolition of Vat House/Gypsum Storage Building, management of demolition materials (including applicable recycling), on-site crushing of concrete, transportation of materials to the designated landfill for disposal or recycling center, stormwater management, dust control, and site restoration. b. All walls, floorings and structural remnants shall be removed to 5 feet below grade. c. The Owner wishes to recycle as much material as possible as part of this Work and the Contractor is encouraged to minimize materials being disposed of at landfills. 1. Mobilization and Demobilization a. Mobilization of all labor, equipment, materials, and other incidentals to and from the Site, and including procurement of materials. Included are preparing and providing submittals, maintaining the quality of materials and workmanship, and implementing a site-specific health and safety program. b. Demobilization of all Contractor construction equipment and temporary facilities, temporary erosion controls, trash, and miscellaneous construction materials from the Site
