Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the construction of a 6,600-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Cutter Jr. Fire Station: demolish old fire station and construct new single-story net-zero 6600SF fire station facility on expanded site with 2 apparatus bays and living quarters using integrated concrete form wall system. Deadline for FSB questions is 4/4/23 The NewburyportJohnF.CutterJr.FireStationproject consists of the demolition and removal of the existing fire station at 153 Storey Avenue and replacement with a new, modern, single-story fire station of approximately 6,600sf on an expanded site. The new station will have two apparatus bays and support areas with administrative offices and living quarters for the 24 hour, 365 day operation of the station. It is anticipated that the fire station will be a net-zero energy building; one that will produce as much, or more, power as it consumes during its daily operation. The construction will include an Integrated Concrete Form wall system with glulam wood beams and cross laminated timber construction supporting the roof and rooftop mounted solar panels. The work is estimated to cost $6,000,000.
