The Town of Mansfield is seeking to engage a qualified professional sign fabricator to provide comprehensive services for a Gateway Sign for the new Mansfield Elementary School located at 134 Warrenville Road, Mansfield, Connecticut. The Town will consider teaming or subcontracting if the team has a demonstrated successful working relationship. The RFP shall indicate the project lead who will be responsible and in charge of the project. The design of the Mansfield Elementary School Gateway Sign in Attachment A has been approved by the Town of Mansfield's Planning and Zoning Commission and School Building Committee. Illuminating the signage is planned at this time necessitating potential electrical engineering. The proposed signage shall comply with Town of Mansfield Zoning Regulations, Connecticut Department of Transportation requirements, and applicable laws and statutes. RFPs shall not include a required deposit as the Town will not accept this term. Proposals shall be comprehensive of all engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, permitting, and installation services and costs required for the complete installation of the sign. The project will be divided into three phases: engineering, fabrication, and installation. The schedule of the project is identified below. The winning proposer is responsible for managing the engineering work, permit approvals, procurement/fabrication, and construction schedules and tasks such that the work is complete prior to 8/15/2023. Note that construction work must commence after the last day of school 6/23/2023. By submitting a proposal, the proposer acknowledges that they have reviewed the schedule requirements below and take no exceptions to the dates therein.
