Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Portage, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Work for which Bids are asked includes the following Pulverizing of approximately 4850 sq. yd. of asphalt pavement, excavation below subgrade (EBS) as applicable (approx. 1,900 cu. yd.), installation of breaker run (2,850 tons), crushed aggregate (1,275 tons) fi ne grading, asphalt paving, driveway apron reconstruction, construction of approximately 3400 linear feet of 2-foot gravel shoulder, traffic control, and site restoration. There are no prevailing wage rates for this contract. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to fi ve percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner.
