Site work and paving for a civil project in West Union, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The bidder's security shall be in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount including all add alternates and shall be the Jurisdiction's bidder's bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Jurisdiction. No other type of bid security will be accepted The successful bidder will be required to furnish a construction performance, payment, and maintenance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent(100%) of the contract price. Said bonds to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and the maintenance of said improvements in good repair from the time of acceptance of the improvements by the City for not less than two (2) years Sanitary Sewer (Gravity), Sewer Force Main, Street/Roadway Reconstruction , Manhole Rehabilitation The extent of the work consists of replacement of approximately 1,100 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main with new 8" and 10" diameter main, manholes, service line connections, storm sewer repair, street removal, partial street replacement and associated work in the City of West Union, Iowa. Contractor shall fully complete by September 29, 2023. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $600.00 per Calendar Day will be assessed for each Calendar Day that any work shall remain uncompleted beyond September 29, 2023. The City of West Union reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
