The project will consist of various aboveground and below ground improvements to the existing facilities at the Quill Water Treatment facility. The purpose of the project is to replace aging and obsolete water treatment equipment that will then allow this facility to treat up to 4 million gallons of surface water per day while meeting the required regulatory requirements. Work includes selective demolition, treatment building expansion, concrete foundations and slab on grade, mechanical equipment and ductwork, treatment plant equipment installation, controls, telecom and security systems, site work, utility relocation, asphalt concrete paving, rigid concrete paving, and other Work. Question Deadline 07/23/2024 at 11:00 AM PT Engineers Estimate: $16,900,000 The completed Work will provide Owner with a complete, tested, and functioning surface water treatment plant that meets or exceeds the required design criteria in compliance with the Project's regulatory requirements. The primary scope and includes the rehabilitation of the existing surface water treatment plant including demolition, removal, and salvage/disposal of the existing treatment plant equipment and an expansion of the existing treatment plant building; and installation, startup, and testing of new package multimedia filtration and ultra-violet disinfection systems. Other project elements in support of the primary scope include, but are not limited to, residuals process system improvements for backwash and clarifier flush liquid streams, reinforced concrete residuals basins, pump systems for filter effluent, backwash supply, and backwash recovery processes, improvements to the chemical process systems including chemical disinfection, chemical coagulation and coagulant aid (polymer), electrical upgrades including a new motor control center and SCADA systems, construction of a new sludge drying bed, site grading, AC paving, PCC flatwork, as well as yard piping for each of the primary and secondary liquid process lines, and other miscellaneous Site work. The Work will be bid as a single lump sum item.
