Summary: The Southeast Sewer Conversion Project - is a Federally Funded project. Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the Southeast Mandatory Sewer Extension Project Phase 9A. The project includes the installation of sewer mains and laterals for the residents located within Phases 9 and 10 of the City Master Plan. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications, and special conditions related hereto. LIMIT OF WORK Limit of work shall conform to the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction Section 300. 3. SCOPE Scope of work shall conform to the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction Section 300. 4. WORK OUTSIDE STATED LIMITS No payment will be made to the Contractor for clearing and grubbing outside the stated limits unless such work is authorized by the City. All surface improvements and landscaped areas that are damaged by actions of the Contractor shall be restored to their original condition at the Contractor's expense. 5. ROOT MITIGATION When working within the drip line of a tree, or within 1 foot per inch of diameter of the tree trunk (Example: within 12 feet of a 12" diameter tree), the contractor shall notify the Construction Manager three (3) days prior to excavation. All tree root mitigation work shall be performed under the supervision of: Carson City Parks and Recreation representative, a Carson City Arborist, or an ISA qualified contractor. If the tree roots need pruning, the Parks and Recreation representative will direct the work.
