Demolition, site work and renovation of a museum in Carson City, Nevada. Completed plans call for the demolition of a museum; for the renovation of a museum; and for site work for a museum.
This project is to stabilize the historic Stone House building at Nine Mile Ranch within Walker River State Recreation Area. The building was severely damaged in the 2016 earthquake and is now at risk of total failure. Major elements in this project include photo documentation and cataloging of existing stonemasonry, disassembling of masonry stone structures, internal residential demolition, stone masonry stacking and repointing, anchoring of stone masonry veneer, rough carpentry, weather barriers, shingle roofing and painting. Any questions must be received in writing on or before 5:00 PM on July 2, 2024. All work must be completed within two-hundred-fifty (250) calendar days after the date of commencement as stated in the Notice to Proceed. Prospective bidders shall at the time of bid opening, possess a valid contractor's license, appropriate based on the project scope, issued by the Nevada State Contractors Board, registered and in good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State. Subcontractors shall hold the appropriate license(s) for their portion of the work listed. Prospective bidders shall also provide verifiable documentation and references of at least three similar projects completed successfully. The Nevada Division of State Parks reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid and to make awards in the interest of the State of Nevada.
