Site work and paving for a road / highway in Naperville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
When a bid deposit is required as indicated on the Invitation to Bid, each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Illinois, a cashier's check or a certified check. For construction projects the bid deposit shall be in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. The City reserves the right to make an award on all items, or on any of the items according to the best interests of the City. Bidder may restrict his bid to consideration in the aggregate by so stating but must name a unit price on each item bid upon. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid in which the bidder names a total price for all the articles without quoting a price on each and every item. The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material and traffic control to perform micro-surfacing and thermoplastic pavement marking removal and replacement at various locations throughout the City. Micro-surfacing involves the installation of a thin, latex modified, asphalt wearing course. The application will be placed in two lifts, generally on consecutive days, with the combined thickness of approximately 3/8". New striping and pavement markings will be applied to the finished surface.
