Renovation of a stadium in East Watertown, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the renovation of a stadium.

The City of Watertown, Massachusetts is requesting written quotations for the installation of a new Ammonia Detection System for its ammonia-based ice hockey rink refrigeration/compressor system at the John A. Ryan Arena. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, trash disposal of old equipment, and all other things necessary to do all the work required for the completion of the project. Such quote needs to meet the specifications listed below. Complete list of specifications is included with this document, below as Appendix A. A licensed Massachusetts electrician well versed in ammonia detection will supply and install the following Calibration Technologies ammonia (NH3) detection equipment: o 2- GG-NH3-250 Sensors (Engine room) o 1- GG-NH3-2% sensor (Engine room) o 1 -GG-VL2-NH3 sensor. (Vent line) o 1 - GG-6 controller with analog output board with 4/20 mA board o 1- GG-RD1 Remote display o 3 - Horn/strobe. (Blue Ammonia) o 1 - GG-EM2-24 entrance monitor (next to EAP panel) The horn/strobes to be located in the following locations: o 1 - Inside engine room. o 1 - Above exterior engine room door. o 1 - Outside rink entrance. All horn/strobes will be labeled as "Ammonia" o Remove old electrical wiring and conduits that have been eliminated from this project. Label all new installations. o M&M Controls Upgrade to accept new sensors o Integrate leak detectors o Update NH3 function to add disable alarm and NH3 alarm output o Add 1 exhaust fan w/temperature, leak & override control o Update PC Graphics & reports o Update PC Software for new screen/alarms o Update control specification & master electrical drawing o Must have installed a minimum of 10 similar units in ammonia-based refrigeration plants. o Familiarity with and working on or around ammonia-based rink compressor refrigeration systems o Must provide All manufacturers' warranties for the equipment. Installation of the above components: o Low voltage wiring to be done in open style similar to other wiring in the area. EMT to be provided for vertical drops or where subject to damage. o Provide analog lines from GG-6 to RCP. o Wire and connect so that engine room intake/exhaust system will be activated upon NH3 detection. o Provide dry contact for alarm company. (Connection by others) o Supply and install wiring from GG-6 to (4) remote NH3 sensors o Supply and install wiring from GG-6 to (3) remote horn strobes described above o Wire and connect new components so that refrigeration system will shut down as is typical during an NH3 detection. Provide relays needed to link individual systems Furnish and install a new Ammonia Detection System for Hockey Rink
