The work is to be completed in the Ausable Channel at the Port Franks Harbour. Work involves all things necessary to remove and dispose of excavated materials from land and by barge. There are two components of this work program: 1) The work related to dredging at the municipal marina in Port Franks is required to be completed in the approved dredging period in May 2023. The Municipality has received approval from the Conservation Authority and Fisheries and Oceans Canada; the permits are valid as of May 1, 2023 and expire on May 14, 2023. The Municipality is awaiting Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry approvals of the dates. Work is typically done working from barge working and transferring to dump trucks for disposal. The successful contractor will be responsible for the disposal location for the excavated material. The Contractor is also responsible for complying with applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, codes and orders of the authorities having jurisdiction.
