The Contractor has examined the proposal, permits, plans, and understands the location of the work may be anywhere in Tuscola County and may include work on state highways described here in and is fully informed as to the nature of the work and the conditions relating to its performance. The contractor hereby proposed to furnish all material, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the work specified within, for the bid prices listed. This work consists of preparing lawns and slopes on rural roadway projects designated for slope restoration on the plans or as directed by the Engineer and applying fertilizer, seed, mulch with anchors and rip rap. All work shall be in accordance with the requirements of Section 816 of the Michigan Department of Transportation 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plan R-100 and as specified herein or otherwise directed by the Engineer. All projects listed shall be completed within two weeks of the request date unless agreed upon with the Engineer. Liquidated damages will be charges at $100.00 per day per project, starting 15 days after contractor notification at the discretion of the Engineer The Tuscola County Road Commission will provide the Contractor with a list of locations requiring turf establishment throughout the construction season. Included in that list will be if topsoil placement is required The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to re-advertise or to accept the proposal, that in their opinion, is in the best interest of Tuscola County.
