Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Troy, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

In accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the Miami County Engineer. The Bidding documents may be reviewed and obtained at the Office of the Miami County Engineer located at 2100 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Bids shall be submitted on the forms furnished by the County and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes endorsed by the Bidder and marked:BID MIA-CR166-04.25, TIPP-ELIZABETH ROAD BRIDGE NO 04.25 REPLACEMENT All federal rules and requirements with respect to equal employment opportunity (EEO) shall be in force with respect to this contract. Bidders must comply with current Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Improvements in Miami County, Ohio as determined by the United States Department of Labor, Wage, and Hour Division. Bidders must be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for appropriate work types. Each Bidder is required to furnish, with his bid, a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted a Contract will be entered into in accordance with the bid, project plans, and the project specifications. The Bid Guaranty shall be in one of the following forms. 1. A certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid amount, payable to the Board of Miami County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Transportation, or; 2. A Bid bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount, payable to the Board of Miami County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Transportation. If the Bid Guaranty is furnished in Bond form, it shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The Board of Miami County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bids and to award the contract to the bidder, or bidders, who, in their opinion, offer the lowest and best bid. The engineer's estimate for this project is $520,379.50.
