Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Oakridge, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 29,000-square-foot fitness / recreation center.
Informal written proposals/bids are requested for an electrical panel replacement project for the Willamette Activities Center (the "WAC"), a 29,000 square foot former elementary school built in the 1950's, owned and operated by the City of Oakridge. The WAC electrical system includes a variety of components. Electrical service enters the building at the boiler room, then there are multiple sub-panels. Most of the electrical service was upgraded in 1991, some of the sub-panels are still original from the 1950's, or at least 35 years old. The subpanel of most concern is on the stage, which controls the lighting system for the stage and the entire gym. Not only is this Westinghouse sub-panel old (model NLAB-AB-4L200), there are no light switches for the stage or gym lights and the only way to turn them on is by turning the breakers on and off on the panel. In 2021, the insurance inspector reacted negatively to this during their site visit and declared the building non-insurable due to this (and some major roof leaks). We need to replace this old panel as soon as possible and incorporate separate lighting control systems (light switches) for the gym & stage
