The Town of Hampton requests sealed written bid proposals from qualified Contractors to include: cold planing sections of roadways with shim coats and overlays; full depth reclamation and paving of roadways; and related services more particularly described in the Scope of Work, Detailed Specifications and attachments. All inquiries regarding the bid document, bid procedure, and any technical aspect may be directed to Chris McGinnis, DPW Highway Foreman at (603) 926-3202 weekdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., or by email at cmcginnis@hamptonnh.gov It shall be the obligation of the Contractor to meet the scheduled substantial completion date of October 28, 2023, with a preferred completion date prior to the summer season The work covered by this Invitation to Bid consists of furnishing all personnel, labor, materials, equipment, and means for asphalt paving and associated operations. A preconstruction video (DVD) shall be performed and be required from the Contractor and shall be supplied to the Town prior to starting the work or moving equipment to the site. The preconstruction video shall cover each section of roadwork showing the centerline, edges of pavement, driveways, mailboxes, ornamental fences, and intersections with additional spot areas as necessary to show the full scope of the intended work area. The pre-construction video requires the contractor to be aware and document the existing conditions along the work area and to support/refute any potential future concerns/claims that may arise from the Contractor's work. (Cell phone pictures/videos are an acceptable format. The Highway Foreman shall be made aware of any areas or concern prior to commencement of actual work.) The following work is anticipated and is further detailed in Attachment A: 1. Cold planing roadway section varying in width 2. Cut-in tapered joints at all intersections 3. Cut-in joints at all driveways 4. Roadway reclamation, grading and compaction 5. Casting and structure adjustments 6. Shim coat application 7. Base coat application 8. Wearing coat application 9. Application of emulsion 10. Traffic control management 11. Provide and install shoulder leveling material as applicable 12.
