Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,020-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The new facility to be designed and constructed as outlined in Appendix F - ASV Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters and Appendix G - A Code of Practice for Canadian Kennel Operations. The City is looking to select a qualified Design-Builder for the Animal Shelter Project with the following features: a single-storey or two-storey animal shelter building with an approximate size of 650 m2 ; an exterior space of 800 m2 which comprises of exterior dog runs, covered livestock area and exterior catio space; and 14 parking stalls (11x visitors and 3x operational vehicles), and 1 loading stall. The existing Animal Shelter building should be demolished, and a new building should be developed at 3202 Norland Avenue. The site information is summarized below: Lot Width 39.64m (130 ft.)
