As of November 28, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The work will include, but not necessarily be limited to mill of existing paving to a depth of 1-1/2" and overlay with 1-1/2" compacted depth wearing course at varying widths approximately 35 feet wide on Alexander Springs Road up to 65 feet wide at the intersection, which is an area that is approximately 1,450 SY, including tack coat and sealing of pavement joints, pavement markings, replacing two traffic control loops - complete in place, widening of Alexander Spring Road by approximately 10 feet at the northeastern curve from Walnut Bottom Road, including curb addition and installation of two ADA curb ramps with sidewalk. Within the 1,450 SY of milling and wearing also includes the right-hand turn lane on Walnut Bottom Road. Pavement markings are to be replaced as per the HOP and Traffic Signal Permit Plans (fog lines are not required to be replaced).
