**As of May 1, 2023, project was awarded to Best Repair Company, Inc. but awarded amount is not available.** Replace Motors & Overhaul Gear Reducers for the George P. Coleman Bridge Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Marlene Carter at Marlene.Carter@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on April 13, 2023 If you plan to participate in the Mandatory pre-bid teleconference you must provide the following information via email to Marlene.Carter@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5:00 PM EST on the business day prior to the scheduled conference. o Solicitation Number and Title o Company Name and Address o Representative Name, Phone Number, Email Address. The successful bidder shall deliver to the purchasing office executed Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the sum of the contract amount, with the Commonwealth of Virginia as oblige. The surety shall be a surety company or companies approved by the State Corporation Commission to transact business in the Commonwealth of Virginia. No payment shall be due and payable to the contractor, even if the contract has been performed in whole or in part, until the bonds have been delivered to and approved by the purchasing office. Standard bond forms will be provided by the purchasing office prior to or at the time of award The Commonwealth also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest.
