At all Municipal Cemetery locations, all aspects of keeping the grounds of the Cemeteries, clean, maintained, and attractive to enhance the sacred and suitable environment for visitors as a respectful and peaceful eternal place of rest. The following scope of works is listed: Collects and removes litter from the Cemetery grounds. Ensure that each Cemetery fences, gates, and signage are maintained accordingly. Including but not exclusive to painting, minor repairs and general maintenance. Maintains all four Cemetery grounds; performing functions such as lawn mowing, pruning trees and/or removal, leaf removal and trimming around all monuments assuring for timeliness and safety. Grass to be cut inside the Cemetery boundaries on a weekly period. Maps of the Cemeteries attached to Statement D showing area to be cut. Grass to be cut outside the Cemetery to the property boundaries, between the fence and the roads. Grass to be trimmed around all monuments, fences, buildings and trees. Taking branches and other refuse to a waste disposal site. A spring cleanup of tree limbs, rakes leaves and grass, weeds and trims tree and shrubs around monuments, as required. This may have to be conducted more often in the event of windstorms. Identify and communicate Cemetery ground needs, repairs, etc. to the Clerk. Perform preventive maintenance with regards to wildlife and pest control issues. Report any complaints or requests for services to the Clerk. Provides all necessary equipment to perform these duties. The Municipal By-law to regulate and operate the Cemeteries in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula, must be followed. All grass areas must be cut consistently and be presentable at all times. No ground maintenance shall be conducted while an interment or service is underway.
