The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has contracted Whitney Bailey Cox & Magnani, LLC (WBCM) to perform a bridge inspection of a state-owned structure located in PennDOT Districts 8-0 in Pennsylvania. The inspection is scheduled to be performed from May 1, 2023, through May 15, 2023. WBCM will require the services of a contractor to provide the following Bridge Inspection Access Equipment and Maintenance of Traffic services: Bridge Inspection Access Equipment One (1) 60' under-bridge inspection crane with two rotating turrets, three-person minimum capacity bucket, power supply to the bucket, 60' minimum horizontal and vertical reach, driver, and operator. All cranes and operator qualifications must meet ANSI Standard A92.8 Bridge Inspection Crane. Two (2) Shadow vehicles as required per Publication 213 (Two cranes, one provided by the District, will be on the bridge during the entire inspection period). Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) consisting of warning signs, flags, cones, two-way radios, and flagmen in accordance with PennDOT Publication 213. The Contractor must be able to provide any of the short-term traffic control patterns as shown in the Work Zone Traffic Control Guidelines (Publication 213) with current revisions. It is anticipated that the shoulder and right lane will be closed the entire length of the bridge during the entire inspection period, one direction closure at a time. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/5/2023 4:00 PM It is possible that a portion of this inspection will be performed on a Saturday or Sunday. Work time restrictions may vary depending on the approval of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
