South High Street and Miner Street Intersection Improvements Project - 5031698

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of May 15, 2023, project was awarded to Premier Concrete, Inc., awarded amount is $453,075.50.** The West Chester Borough Council will receive sealed online bids for the S High Street & Miner Street Intersection Improvements Project. The project is funded (in part or wholly) by the Chester County Landscapes 21st Century Fund, Community Revitalization Program. The bidder's attention is drawn to the Technical Specifications and Special Provisions Document and the Attachments list of the Contract Documents. The bidders are to be aware of all provisions associated with the project and funding. The provisions must be strictly adhered to by owner and contractor or funding for the project could become subject to withdrawal and default. The scope of work generally includes full depth reconstruction to facilitate new curb ramps, brick sidewalk and curb ramps, milling and overlay of the existing intersection, line painting, signal improvements, and luminaire installation. The bid will be for furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, and services associated with the S High Street & Miner Street Intersection Improvements Project. Bids will have a tentative award date of May 31, 2023. Bids are to be submitted on the forms furnished in the bid package. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of West Chester Borough in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by West Chester Borough. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however West Chester Borough Council reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must submit with their bids, the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents.
