The Village of Park Forest (Village) is requesting proposals from qualified companies to construct a pre-fabricated pavilion, along with installation of all applicable concrete, electrical and plumbing needs as detailed in the attached project specifications at Somonauk Park. This pavilion will be constructed on the same site where a previous pavilion stood until demolished in 2017. The Villages goal is to have this project started no later than May 31, 2023 and completed by August 15, 2023. Somonauk Park is located at Somonauk St. and Shabbona Dr., with the proposed pavilion site being located just east of the parking lot at Grace United Protestant Church (266 Somonauk St). Minority Business Enterprises and Womens Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. All interested companies are expected to make themselves thoroughly familiar with the site conditions. Qualifications In the case of a proposal from an individual, provide a statement of qualifications including background and experience. In the case of a proposal from a business, provide a brief history and description of the business submitting the proposal. Each proposal must include the names, addresses and phone numbers of at least three (3) references for whom a similar service has been provided within the past 18 months. Each vendor may provide any additional information which would serve to distinguish his or her proposal from other proposals. The Village of Park Forest may make such inquiries it deems necessary to determine the ability of each proposer to meet the requirements in this Request for Proposals. Proposers shall furnish all information and data for this purpose as may be subsequently requested by the Village. All communications by parties with an interest in submitting a proposal, including any questions or requests for clarifications, submission of the proposal, requests for status updates, selection process, or any inquiries related to this Request for Proposals, shall be sent, in writing by email to Mr. Kevin Adams at the email address noted above. All applicable Prevailing Wages are to be paid by the Vendor for this work. The Village of Park Forest reserves the right to select the proposal it deems best meets its objectives without regard to cost. The Village may also reject all proposals.
