Renovation of a detention facility in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Scope: This project consists of replacement of 100 windows at the Correctional Release Center Facility. 85 windows on Dorms 1 & 2 and 15 on the Admin Building. Remove the existing vinyl clad wood windows and infill panels and replace with thermally broken aluminum windows with insulated composite clad panel inserts. Other work includes insulation, mineral wool joint backing, wood trim, sheet metal trim, sealants, and steel lintel painting. Commencement of the Work of the Contract shall be the day of receipt by the selected Contractor of the fully-executed contract. Final completion of the Work of the contract shall be acknowledged as a part of the Contractor's proposal. This project is exempt from Iowa Sales Tax. Davis Bacon Wages will not apply to this project. Direct all inquiries to the construction manager. Addendum #1 has been issued as of 5-1-2023. (there was a typo within the original Addendum #1 meeting minutes regarding the bid date. The bid date remains 5-3-2023. Addendum #2 has been issued as of 5-2-2023.
