Site work and paving for a road / highway in Peru, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of August 22,2023, project was awarded to Advanced Asphalt, awarded amount is $2,438,092.35. Widening Plank Road & constructing a new 24' wide concrete roadway with 6' hot-mix asphalt shoulders. Mill & overlay, and add paved shoulders at Industrial Park Boulevard. Construction of a new concrete street with 12' lanes each way and 6' HMA shoulders. The work will be built in one stage. No in-stream work will be required. Erosion control measures will include temporary ditch checks. perimeter erosion barrier, and temporary seeding. Permanent erosion control will be permanent seeding and aggregate ditches. The goal of the Illinois Apprenticeship Works Initiative is that apprentices will perform either 10% of the total labor hours actually worked in each prevailing wage classification or 10% of the estimated labor hours in each prevailing wage classification, whichever is less. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals.
