Renovation of a mixed-use development in Peru, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,780-square-foot fire / police facility.

The work consists of membrane roof replacement, edge metal replacement, roof drainage system replacement, complete masonry tuckpointing and sealing, and additional work as indicated. Contract Type: Single prime lump sum contract location I.v.r.d. Dispatch Center Facilty 1901 Fourth Street Peru, Illinois 61354 Peru Fire Station 816 West Street Illinois 61354 Bidder will be required to provide Bid Security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid amount proposed, in the form of a certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with all provisions of the acts of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois related to Wage Rates, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Alcohol Use, Preference to Illinois Workmen, Fair Employment Practices Commission, and Equal Employment Opportunity. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act (Public Act 95-0635). The successful Bidder shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). All Contractor's bonds shall include a provision as will guarantee the faithful performance of such prevailing wage clause as provided by this bid specification or contract. The Contractor shall conform to the requirements of all "Responsible Bidder" as defined by the City of Peru Ordinance No. 4627. The Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act (30 ILCS 565) is applicable to this project. This Act includes various requirements pertaining to the origin of steel products which will be used in the construction Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bidding, and to award contract in Owner's best interests.
