The Board of Regents, State of Iowa reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The project consists of but is not limited to: 1) Selective masonry repointing (CMU veneer, brick and natural stone) 2) Water Repellent Treatment of masonry (CMU veneer and natural stone) 3) Retrofit flashings at base of corrugated metal panels 4) Retrofit thru-wall flashing at lintels in brick veneer portions of building 5) Spot rust treatment and refinishing of exposed structural steel and galvanized panels/trim 6) Install new gutters and downspouts; reseal/repair select gutter and flashings 7) Install new coping at natural stone coping caps 8) Install new sealant/backer at intersection of site paving and exterior walls 9) Selective replacement of damaged storefront framing 10) Minor insulation retrofit and interior finish repair/replacement Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Board of Regents, State of Iowa seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions.
