BID NOTICE Elford Inc. is accepting bids for construction improvements associated with the Sawgrass Stream Valley, located in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, PA. All bids must be sealed and delivered to 10 Campus Blvd. Newtown Square, PA 19073 by 12:00PM on April 26, 2023; and will be publicly opened at that time. For bidding notifications, please register as a bidder and submit all questions to jmabe@elford.com. The construction improvements proposed by this project include the following: o Removal of the defective and damaged in-line storm water structures in the Sawgrass Stream Valley. o Removal of gabion structures near the top of a segment of the Sawgrass Stream Valley (This will convert the headwaters of the stream bed to a more natural grade drop.) o Restoration of approximately 400 linear feet of the most severely eroded sections of stream valley that will be restored with natural grade drops using large boulders,step pools, and rock cross vanes. The combination of these carefully selected improvements will help restore the Sawgrass Stream Valley into a more natural state and, over time, the reduced velocities in the stream valley will allow it to heal itself, to eliminate erosion. Runnymeade Farms is a residential development located in Edgmont Township, Pennsylvania on the eastern side of Providence Road between West Chester Pike (PA State Route 3) and Gradyville Road. The residential properties in this development were built in phases with the first phase being developed in the late 1970's and the fifth phase of development completed in the mid 1990's. Previous development of the site did not include on-site management of storm water as would be required today. The seventh and last phase of the development is under construction with residential apartments.
