The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Replacement of the Bloomer Road Bridge over Gooseberry Creek - BIN 3200960 The work shall be substantially complete within 180 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 210 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. All questions on the bid documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer. The period for questions pertaining to the bid documents will close at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form and Bid Summary Form or an exact reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope with the following clearly marked on the front of the envelope: Bidders Name and Address Replacement of the Bloomer Road Bridge over Gooseberry Creek - BIN 3200960 Date & Time of Bid Opening PIN 1761.25 This is a Unit Price bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Bidders are required to acknowledge and submit Disclosure of Lobbying Activities and Non-Collusive Bidding Certification Forms. It is the responsibility of each Bidder before submitting a bid to promptly notify the Engineer of any errors, omissions, conflicts, ambiguities or discrepancies discovered in or between the Contract Documents and such other related documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds, insurance, and execute the Contract in the full amount of the contract price. All primes and subcontractors will be required to complete Form CCA-2 online before any work is started. Except as modified in the Contract Documents, the latest edition of the Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials (Section 100 and Section 200-700) issued by the New York State Department of Transportation, Office of Engineering including all revisions and addenda issued by NYSDOT at the time of letting, hereinafter referred to as the NYSDOT Standard Specifications, shall govern the work to be done where referred to on the plans and in the specifications.
