Drop inlets and pipes shall be cleaned and flushed until they are visibly free from all material/debris that is not part of the structure. All sand, sediment, dirt, leaves, rocks, tree limbs, roots, trash shall be removed from the structure and disposed of at Contractors’ expense. Disposal of waste material shall be in accordance with state and federal regulations. The Contractor shall dispose of all refuse, rubbish, scrap materials and debris caused by the cleaning operations. No such refuse, rubbish, scrap material and debris shall be left within the completed work area nor buried on the job site, but shall be removed from the site and properly disposed of in a licensed landfill or otherwise as required by law. Under no circumstances shall contractor leave millings or leftover material accumulated or piled on shoulder of road. All disposal and landfill charges are the responsibility of the Contractor and shall be included in the bid pricing submitted. The Contractor is responsible for providing all water necessary to perform operations and for any water meters that may be required by the local town, county, or city. The Contractor shall arrive at the assigned location at the beginning of each workday with a full load of water. At the conclusion of the work, the Contractor shall demonstrate to the VDOT representative that the work is in compliance with contract specifications. The Contractor at the Contractor’s sole expense shall promptly correct any deficiencies prior to final acceptance of the work. The Commonwealth reserves the right to inspect bidder’s physical facilities prior to award to satisfy questions regarding the bidder’s capabilities. The Commonwealth further reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigations of, such bidder fails to satisfy the, Commonwealth that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to provide the services and/or furnish the goods contemplated therein Commercial Driver’s License: When required by the equipment being operated, the operator of each piece of equipment shall possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License with the proper endorsements.
