Description: The City of Westfield on behalf of the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport, Massachusetts invites sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in connection with a construction contract at the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport, Westfield, Massachusetts as follows: RELOCATE, CONSTRUCT, AND REPAIR TAXIWAY B SOUTH The project consists of the relocation and reconstruct of Taxiway B South (approximately 14,000 SY) including taxiway edge lights, taxiway signage, pavement marking, Runway 02 REILs and drainage improvements. Also included is a reconstruction of a portion of Taxiways B1, B2, and B4. The work to be completed under this contract includes furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete all work in accordance with the provisions of the Contract; the Contract Plans, the Contract Specifications, Contract Addenda, Environmental Permits and all incidentals as may be directed by the Engineer. All materials to construct and to be installed on this project shall be new and are subject to the "Buy American Clause". Procedures regarding bids and the selection of contractors shall be in conformity with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended to date. The General Bids shall be filed with the Owner at the location designated above, accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond or a certified check, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price for the Contract work. Qualifications: The proposed improvements to be accomplished under this contract will be subject to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEO, Anti-Discrimination and Affirmative Action Program goal for this work.
