The Town of Braintree, pursuant to MGL c. 149, 44A-44J, seeks sealed bids for the Asbestos Remediation project at the following location: Eldridge Elementary School 46 Lincoln St. Braintree, MA 02184. Bids that are not prepared as required will be considered non-responsive. Late bids will not be accepted. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 149, 29, the Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in an amount of 100% of the total Contract price and a payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total Contract price from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Awarding Authority or furnished and materials used or employed therein, when the Contract is executed. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws apply to all services. The Braintree Department of Public Works Department reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid they deem to be best for the Town of Braintree.
