Site work for a water / sewer project in Xenia, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and materials required for the project to include the installation of an 8" water main, approximately 4,762 LF from John Wycliffe Drive to S. Detroit Street, through the Athletes in Action Sports Complex. Project includes capping existing water main, providing service to Wooden Field House and concessions. Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: to provide all the necessary labor, equipment, and materials to install and tie in approximately 4,762 feet of 8" water main and 88 feet of 6" pipe, along with all appurtenances, as directed by the City Engineer, and in accordance with the General Conditions, Specifications, Plans and/or Drawings included in the bid packets. The estimated cost will not exceed $506,906. Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by bid guaranty in the form of a bid bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Xenia, or a letter of credit issued in accordance with ORC Chapter 1305., in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The bid guaranty shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions contained in ORC Chapter 4115, governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on this Project. Bidders are notified that this Project is being funded with ARPA funds, and funding is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions of the funding award. Bidders must comply with all federal laws, regulations, and executive orders applicable to the funding award. The City of Xenia reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the Bids. The Bid will be awarded, in the City's discretion, to the lowest and best Bidder.
