West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (BOG) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (WVU or University) is initiating this Request for Bids (RFB) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the rebuild of Chiller-2 in order to keep the system running until a full building cooling system overhaul is performed. Chiller-2 requires rebuilding due to having five (5) times the allowable limit of iron content in the oil. Contractor is required to purchase the necessary parts and equipment to meet the rebuild and then provide the rebuild services in the cooler months of Fall 2023, unless the chiller fails prior to the scheduled rebuild. Substantial Completion shall be Sixty (60) Days after NTP Final Completion shall be Ten (10) Days thereafter. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES - The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia Universitys Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
