**As of March 13, 2024, this project has been cancelled due to the project has come in over budget. Project will rebid but no anticipated date yet. The Owner shall, within ten (10) calendar days after execution of this Construction Contract, prepare and provide to the Contractor a list, by name and general Project duties, of each consultant retained by the owner to provide services with respect to the Project. The Owner reserves the right to engage any other consultants which it may deem necessary or desirable Each bid in excess of $200,000 submitted in response to this IFB shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total monetary amount of the bid (total base bid plus all additive bid items). The bid guarantee may be either (i) a certified or cashier’s check made payable to “The City of Charlottesville, Virginia,” or (ii) a bid bond made payable to “The City of Charlottesville, Virginia.” The bid guarantee shall be for the purpose of promising and guaranteeing that the bidder will not withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening. If liquidated damages are assessed pursuant to this Construction Contract, as authorized by the General Terms and Conditions, then such damages shall be calculated at the rate of $0.00 Dollars per calendar day.
