The Avila Pier is located in Avila Beach in San Luis Obispo County, CA, approximately midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It is a 1,685-foot wooden pier with piles approximately 12" in diameter. The pier has been partially closed since 2015 due to concerns over its integrity. It is currently under repair. The twelve (12) light posts on Avila Pier are in need of replacement. The new light posts will be mounted within the walkway of the pier. The new light posts are to be decorative and will serve as means for additional fund raising for the pier's rehabilitation. The light posts are to include a mount where a donor recognition plaque can be installed at a later date. While the pier rehabilitation will take about 2 years to complete, the Harbor District is seeking proposals for new light posts now so they can be installed by the District during the rebuilding process. The District would like to receive the light posts by Summer 2023. The specifications are included for reference only, the scope of this RFP does not include installing or providing utilities.
