Site work and paving for a civil project in Palmer, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project's purpose is to realign, upgrade and improve a combined 2840-linear feet of W Forest Lake Drive and S Forest Park Drive. This project will involve, but is not limited to, clearing, grubbing, excavation, import and placement of borrow material, installing drainage culverts, and placing topsoil and seed. This project is in Houston, AK along W Parks Hwy. The project may be accessed by heading west 17.1 miles on the Parks Highway. See project location and vicinity maps. Contractor is to provide resources to complete this project without any adjustments in the original bid amount or contract time. Contractor shall coordinate the road improvements with all utility relocation work. Request locates from the utilities having facilities in the area. Use the Alaska Digline, Inc. Locate Call Center. See Section 105-1.06 for digline number and a list of utility companies in the area. Work Zone speed limit: Limit speed of vehicles associated with construction to 20 miles per hour within project limits. Time is of the essence. Work shall be completed in one continuous timeframe after utility relocations are completed. Substantial completion shall be achieved by 09/30/23.
