Renovation of an educational facility in Monroe, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of work is described on Exhibit 1. Any applicable plans and specifications are referenced therein. During the bid process, all communication relating to this bid shall be directed to the Procurement Lead identified above. Failure to meet the requirement may consider your bid non-responsible. All questions and product substitution requests relating to this project shall be directed to the Procurement Lead identified above in the form of an email no later than April 14, 2023. Answers will be provided to all bidders. The contract shall be UCPS' standard Notice to Proceed. E-Procurement Fees will not be applied. Your attention is directed to terms and conditions identified within Exhibit 3 which shall be deemed to be incorporated into any purchase order or contract. Especially note applicable insurance requirements and obligations to comply with all applicable laws and Union County Board of Education policies. Insurance certificates shall be provided upon request of UCPS Procurement Lead. UCPS reserves the right to award this project in a method considered to be most advantageous. This includes the right to issue single award, multiple awards, or reject all bids. UCPS is not required to award a contract. UCPS reserves the right to waive any informality in bids. If a bidder wants to protest a contract awarded by the Union County Public Schools resulting from this solicitation, then they must submit a written request to the UCPS Purchasing and Contract Division, 201 Venus Street, Monroe NC 28112. This request must be received in the Division of Purchase and Contract within five (5) consecutive calendar days from the date of the contract award. Protest letters must contain specific reasons and any supporting documentation for the protest. Note: Contract award notices are sent only to those actually awarded contracts, and not to every person or firm responding to this solicitation. Project consists of retrofitting electrical panels at the locations provided below. Marshville Elementary School, 525 North Elm Street, Marshville, NC 28103 Monroe Middle School, 601 East Sunset Drive, Monroe, NC 28112 Unionville Elementary School, 4511 Unionville Road, Monroe, NC 28110 Wesley Chapel Elementary School, 110 South Potter Road, Monroe, NC 28110 Western Union Elementary School, 4111 Western Union School, Waxhaw, NC 28173 Contract documents are intended to specify basic description of the Work to be provided in the contract. TheContractor is responsible for field verifying all aspects of this project and to comply with all current local, state, and national codes and regulations. This includes, but not limited to, complying with all ADA requirements. In the event of a conflict between the Scope of Work and code regulations, the Contractor shall notify the assigned UCPS Project Coordinator for direction. Project is to be considered Turn-key. Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labors, permits, inspections, supervision, travel, etc. as needed for intended purpose of project. Type, size of electrical panels currently located at each project site is provided within Exhibit 2. UCPS to retain breakers removed from existing panels. Contractor shall field verify and label panels with (1) Room Numbers, (2) Receptacles, (3) Lighting (4) additional information as indicated by assigned UCPS Project Coordinator. Existing flush mounted panels in Masonry Block Contractor to leave Electrical Can in place. Provide and install new Buss Bars, Breakers, Covers, etc. as needed for a total retrofit, fully functional, turn-key project. Square D; Cutler Hammer Bolt-in Retrofits are approved. Existing Surface Mount Panels Contractor to change the panel out completely. Square D and Cutler Hammer are approved.
