Renovation of a residential development in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Capital Region Water reserves the right to reject any or all bids and also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in a bid or the bid procedure; and to accept any Bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of Capital Region Water. Question Deadline 04/14/2023 at 12:00 PM ET The purpose of this bid is to: Purchase a Basin Perimeter Safety Speed Rail Railing System to be used at Capital Region Waters Drinking Water Department. All bidders shall make themselves fully aware of all legislated mandates of House Bill 1236, known as the Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act and fulfill all obligations under this act to Capital Region Water and the State Department of Labor and Industry in supplying all appropriate safety data sheets (SDS). REQUIREMENTS 1. Remove and haul away existing perimeter fiberglass railing system. 2. Cut smooth exiting fasteners on outside of existing perimeter wall for a smooth finish. 3. All aluminum railings are to be Schedule 40. All uprights are to be Schedule 80. 4. Railings and upright support posts are to be powder coated yellow in color and all connection fittings are to be natural aluminum in color. 5. Railing system is to consist of three (3) rails with 5-foot spacing between upright support posts. 6. Toe kick is to be 4 inches in height with a natural aluminum color and to wrap around the entire perimeter. 7. Install one (1) self-closing gate system approximately 3 feet in width per the attached drawings located in separate folder titled, Drawings. Gate system is to have two (2) independent uprights with an outswing and self-locking mechanism. 8. New railing system upright support posts are to be secured to the face of the basin floor using stainless steel fasteners and utilizing Hilti or equal, epoxy glue technology. Also, apply a heavy coat of bitumastic to all aluminum surfaces that will come in contact with the existing concrete surfaces. 9. A prototype photo of the new railing system is shown below. The physical prototype is also available for viewing at the site address during the mandatory pre-bid meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
