Site work for a water / sewer project in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work generally consists of renovating approximately 8,700 feet of existing sewer pipelines by open cut, horizontal directional drill, pilot tube guided boring, and cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining methods, installation of manholes, and reconnection of laterals and paving. The contractor should be aware that a few easement sites may be difficult to access with equipment; see General Note #39 on Drawing G-4 of Volume 3. The contractor may need to use hand-dig methods as necessary. Some sites include the construction of short-radius curves that will require the use of 3-degree fittings and nonstandard pipe lengths, see General Note #32 on Drawing G-4 of Volume 3.
