Site work for a civil project in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The Project contemplated consists of, but is not limited to, structural repairs of concrete superstructure and substructure elements in approximately 14 acres of terminal property. The repair and lining of three concrete pipes and box culverts, underdeck concrete and rebar pile repairs, under wharf concrete beam and concrete cap and concrete deck, spall, rebar, and crack repairs, under wharf bulkhead and bulkhead cap spall, rebar, steel, and crack repairs. LOCATION: Norfolk International Terminal, The 450Port of Virginia Final completion- 450 calendar days Question Deadline 04/26/2023 at 8:00 AM ET All questions shall be sent electronically to proposalsVPA@portofvirginia.com. All email communications shall contain "Project Code 2023-22-VPA" in the subject line followed by the Respondent's name. Norfolk International Terminals (NIT) contains several waterfront structures including container berths, piers, wharfs, and bulkheads. In the southern half of the Terminal exists four Container Berths numbered 1 through 4, from north to south. The container berths span approximately 4,300 feet along the waterfront, and the wharf structures consists of a concrete deck, edge beams and crane beams supported by concrete pile bents. The total number of piles supporting the wharf structures is approximately 3,500. Following the 2021 condition assessment, the South Wharf was observed to be in fair condition with varying degrees of cracks, impending spalls, spalls with exposed reinforcing, and missing/damaged fender hardware. Some specific components were in poor to serious condition. The design repairs for deficient areas identified in the 2021 assessment report included the following: Underdeck Repairs - Repair cracks, hairline width (>1/64") and greater, in beams and bent caps. It is anticipated cracks 1/8" wide and greater will be repaired by pressure injection. - Repair spalls and impending spalls in the underdeck. - Repair spalls around the expansion joints which expose cover plate anchors, conduit, rebar, or which are full depth of the deck. Piles Repairs - Repair cracks, hairline width (>1/64") and greater, in the splash zone and above. - Install pile jackets or provide other appropriate repair at piles with spalls and impending spalls. Bulkhead Repairs - Fill the gap between the transverse and longitudinal bulkheads at the transition from Container Berth 3 to Container Berth 4. Culverts and Pavement Inboard of Container Berth 3 - Repair disconnected joints of stormwater culverts. job.no- 10418.23
