The SHA I 95 North Bound rest area need a direct replacement for its failed Heating and Ventilating roof top unit (H&V). This Job will require a Prebid inspection for proper project data. This project is a direct replacement of the existing unit with existing duct work to remain. A Crain will be needed for removal and placement of the equipment. NOTE: The contractor is solely responsible for ensuring any information sent to the Procurement Officer or his designee by fax or email has been received by the Procurement Officer. All questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing and received by the Procurement Officer or his designee prior to April 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. to be considered. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that written questions have been received by the Procurement Officer or designee before the deadline. Only information communicated by the Procurement Officer and his designee in writing shall be the official position of MDOT SHA and MDOT SHA assumes no responsibility for oral instructions or suggestions regarding this IFB. SCOPE OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES Remove existing H&V unit, the remote-control panel for the unit, and existing zone sensors. The remote-control panel is located inside the rest areas personnel room. Zone sensor is located in the men's restroom area. It is recommended to verify location of both the remote-control panel and zone sensors during Prebid site visit. Install new curb adapter if required for the new unit if not use existing curb to place the unit. Install new H&V unit and new NEMA appropriate disconnect switch on the roof. The H&V unit will be a horizontal configuration. Install new remote-control panel and new zone sensors. Run new wire for remote-control panel and zone sensors. Once instillation is complete preform an equipment start up and commissioning of the unit. The commissioning will need to consist of an acceptance commissioning and one additional commissioning. The commissioning should take place during winter and shoulder season. This will depend on when the job is completed but we anticipate the winter commissioning will be the acceptance and the shoulder season will be the additional session. In addition to the manufacturer's equipment warranty the contractor is to provide a 2-year maintenance and workmanship warranty.
