Renovation of a municipal facility in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The underground fuel tanks at the Public Safety Building (PSB) were installed in the early 1980s and are past their useful lives, becoming liability concerns. In order to be in regulation with the current standards and with the County's insurance policy, these tanks must be replaced by 2025. In the 2024 capital improvement plan, $700,000 was approved for this project, however insufficient to award construction. The additional 2025 funds will allow for this project to proceed as intended. As of February 17, 2025, this project is in the Kenosha County's FY 2025 Capital Budget. Further information regarding a design firm or timeline for construction has not yet been established. Funding is allotted for FY 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
