This project shall provide a key part of the entry control facility - active final denial barrier with all necessary components to make it complete and useable. The DOR shall insure that this final denial barrier design is compatible with the other features of the ECF and provides infrastructure required to connect with those facilities - guardhouse and over watch point. The existing barriers are required to be demolished as part of this project. The existing electrical supply lines, panel and control panels can be reused by the contractor with DOR review and concurrence. In addition to FAR 52.236-9, Protection of Existing Vegetation, Structures, Equipment, Utilities, and Improvements, perform the following: a. Remove or alter existing work or facilities in such a manner as to prevent injury or damage to any portion of the existing work or facilities that remain. b. Repair or replace portions of existing work altered during construction operations to match existing or adjoining work, as approved by the Contracting Officer. At the completion of operations, existing work must be in a condition equal to or better than that which existed before new work started. c. Preserve the natural resources in accordance with the approved environmental protection plan prepared in accordance with UFGS 01 57 19 Temporary Environmental Controls.
