Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of July 7 ,2023 the project was awarded to multiple bidders: Martin Marietta Materials for $3,713,000 - all paving projects . Vance Brothers Inc for $250,000 - all chip seal projects Andale Construction Inc for $135,000 - HA5 surface treatments projects . All questions must be in writing and addressed to Jim Willis, Streets Superintendent, at jim.willis@cityoffortmorgan.com. The cutoff date and time for questions is Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders to contact Jim Willis at (970) 542-3987 to verify receipt of questions The following projects generally consist of full width asphalt removal (~3" to 7" deep), installation of flyash or Portland Cement subgrade stabilization and installation of HBP on: Project A - East Beaver Avenue: State Street to Sherman Street Project B - Park Street: West Bijou Avenue to West Railroad Avenue Project C - Park Street: 7th Avenue to 9th Avenue Project D - Spruce Street: Gateway Avenue to Southridge Avenue Project E - Balsam Street: Wilson Avenue to Ram Avenue Project F - 100 Grant Street: Railroad Avenue south to end Project G - IDP Bijou Avenue: Dilli Drive east to new asphalt + 10' water line trench to east to Beaver Avenue Project H - Linda Street: Hwy 34 to 6th Avenue Project I - North Main Street (Hwy 52) from concrete north to 7th Avenue Project J - South West Street: Railroad tracks south 800' Project Summary and Bid Information: The following projects generally consist of 3" full width rotomill, installation of stabilization mat and overlay: Project K - Burlington Avenue: South Sherman Street to South Main Street Project L - Riverview Avenue: Sherman Street east to Ditch Crossing Project Summary and Bid Information: The following projects generally consist of an application of polymerized emulsified asphalt product like CRS-2R, 3/8" granite cover coat aggregate called chip seal followed by fog seal (chip seal) on: Project M - Railroad Avenue: West Street to Sherman Street Project N - Acoma Avenue: South West Street to Main Street Project O - East 8th Avenue: Sherman Street to Saunders Street Project Summary and Bid Information: The following projects generally consist of applying an HA5 High Density Mineral Bond surface treatment to include all resident involvement: Project P - Alpine Avenue: South Deuel Street to Landmark Drive Project Q - Brentwood Avenue: South Deuel Street to Street to Landmark Drive Project R - Century Avenue: South Deuel Street to Landmark Drive Project S - Detroiter Avenue: South Deuel Street to Landmark Drive Project T - El Dorado Avenue: South Deuel Street to Landmark Drive Project U - South Deuel Street: Alpine Avenue to Century Avenue Project V - South Deuel Street: Century Avenue to El Dorado Avenue Project W - Landmark Drive: Alpine Avenue to Brentwood Avenue and Century Avenue to El Dorado Avenue Project X - Landmark Drive: Brentwood Avenue and Century Avenue Project Y - Landmark Drive: Entrance Project Summary and Bid Information: The following projects consist of paving a pad, parking lots and roads at the Burlington Fire Department Facility, Fort Morgan Municipal Airport and Fort Morgan Water Treatment Plant. Project Fire 1 - 60 X 80 pad with a 24 X 44 concrete pad in the center. On-call contractor will do concrete pad. Project Airport 1 - Road and parking lot. Project Airport 2 - Additional areas one north and one south of parking lot area. Project Water Treatment Plant (WTP) 1 - Main road and parking lot area. Project Water Treatment Plant (WTP) 2 - Road to WTP house. Projects A,B,C,G,H,I are anticipated to have some element of utility repair, upgrade or replacements prior to the paving or surface treatment projects proceeding. Projects A,D,J,L,M,N,O are located by schools and will have a deadline to be paved before the school year begins. Concrete sidewalk and/or curb and gutter work associated with all of these projects is being contracted separately, unless otherwise noted, and is not included in this work. Projects A,B,C,D,E, consists of removing and hauling all existing asphalt to a depth of 3" to 6" and to include removal of 0.1' of existing subgrade, installation of flyash or Portland Cement soil stabilization material to a depth of 12" and to include all compaction and repaving the street section with 2" bottom mat of Class S HBP and 2" top lift of Class SX HBP. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete soil stabilization and HBP installation to those streets listed on the Location Schedule in the Specifications, or as directed by the City Project Representative. More specifically, this project shall consist of applicable traffic control, valve/manhole adjustments, asphalt removal from paved existing roadway, installation and compaction of soil stabilization (flyash or Portland Cement) and placing hot bituminous pavement. Traffic loop will be reinstalled up to Sherman Street for Project "A". All roadway cross slopes shall be set at a two percent minimum and three percent maximum. Projects F,G,H,I,J consists of removing and hauling all existing asphalt to a depth of 4" to 7" and to include removal of 0.1' of existing subgrade, installation of flyash or Portland Cement soil stabilization material to a depth of 12" and to include all compaction and repaving the street section with 4" bottom mat of Class S HBP and 3" top lift of Class SX HBP. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete soil stabilization and HBP installation to those streets listed on the Location Schedule in the Specifications, or as directed by the City Project Representative. More specifically, this project shall consist of applicable traffic control, valve/manhole adjustments, asphalt removal from paved existing roadway, installation and compaction of soil stabilization (flyash or Portland Cement) and placing hot bituminous pavement and reinstall all double yellow striping to specs listed below. All roadway cross slopes shall be set at a two percent minimum and three percent maximum. Projects K,L consist of rotomilling and hauling 3" of existing asphalt, installing Mirafi PGM-G4 stabilization mat and repaving with Class SX HBP. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the mat and HBP installations to the street listed on the Location Schedule in the Specifications, or as directed by the City Project Representative. More specifically, this project shall consist of applicable traffic control, valve/manhole adjustments, rotomilling asphalt from paved existing roadway, installing Mirafi PGM-G4 stabilization mat, placing hot bituminous pavement and reinstall all double yellow striping to specs listed below. Projects M,N,O consist of installation of application of polymerized emulsified asphalt product like CRS2R, 3/8" granite cover coat aggregate called chip seal followed by a fog seal. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the surface treatment on the Location Schedule in the Specifications or as directed by the City Project Representative. More specifically, these projects shall consist of applicable traffic control, surface preparation, reinstall all double yellow striping to specs listed below, protection of all other existing roadway markings and application of the chipseal and fog seal according to the specifications attached to these documents. City crews will patch and crack seal these projects prior to performance of this portion of the project. The City is also able to provide a site for temporary stockpile of chip material. The location of the site will be determined after bid selection. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the surface treatment process to those streets listed on the Location Schedule in the Specifications, or as directed by the City Project Representative. More specifically, these projects shall consist of applicable traffic control, all public and/or resident relations and protection of all existing roadway markings. Parking Lot Projects consist of rotomilling asphalt from paved existing parking lot, installing fly ash subgrade stabilization material and placing hot bituminous pavement. Parking lots shall be set for positive drainage. Removal of excess subgrade material shall be considered a part of Bid Item No. 3 (furnish and install fly ash). Project Fire 1: Consists of removing and hauling (dumping at same location) 3" of existing base subgrade, installation of flyash or Portland Cement soil stabilization material to a depth of 12" and to include all compaction around a 24' X 44' concrete pad that has been install by one of the city's on-call concrete contractors. The total dimensions of the pad will be 60' X 80". A 4" bottom mat of Class S HBP and 3" top lift of Class SX HBP will be furnished, installed and compacted around the concrete pad. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete soil stabilization and HBP installation. More specifically, this project is to create a 60' X 80' pad with a 24' X 44' concrete pad in the center and shall include installation and compaction of soil stabilization (flyash or Portland Cement) and placing hot bituminous pavement at location of 1320 E Burlington Avenue. Projects Airport 1&2, Water Treatment Plant 1&2: Consists of removing and hauling all existing asphalt to a depth of 3" to 6" and to include removal of 0.1' of existing subgrade, installation of flyash or Portland Cement soil stabilization material to a depth of 12" and to include all compaction and repaving the road / parking lot sections with 2" bottom mat of Class S HBP and 2" top lift of Class SX HBP. The Bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete soil stabilization and HBP installation to those roads / parking lots listed on the Location Schedule in the Specifications, or as directed by the City Project Representative. More specifically, this project shall consist of applicable valve/manhole adjustments, asphalt removal from paved existing roadway, installation and compaction of soil stabilization (Flyash or Portland Cement) and placing hot bituminous pavement. All roadway and parking lot cross slopes shall be set positive drainage.
