Renovation of a fire / police facility in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking services for the demolition and removal of existing asphalt and flat work, placement of approximately 40,700 square feet of concrete, and other services, at its San Diego Unit Headquarters, located in El Cajon. NOTE: Prime Bidder will be responsible for field verification of all measurements, material takeoffs, and identification of existing conditions, prior to bid submission. Any conflicts resulting from incorrect material takeoffs will not be considered reason for change order. If a potential prime contractor is unable to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting, an authorized representative may attend on their behalf. The representative may only sign-in for one (1) company. Subcontractors may not represent a potential prime contractor at the mandatory pre-bid meeting. No bid will be accepted unless the bidder or their authorized representative attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Potential Bidders who attended the pre-bid meeting may submit written questions regarding the bid by 2:00 p.m. on April 10, 2023. All questions should be emailed in writing to Sarah.Best@fire.ca.gov and CAL FIRE will provide answers to questions by written response on April 12, 2023.
