The project consists of the following: The replacement of the shingle roof on the Township Building located at 104 Shady Lane Road, South Abington Township, PA 18411. The scope of the work consists of a complete tear off of the existing shingles to the plywood deck. Minimal to no deck repair is expected, however, any required deck repair will take place on a per unit price basis per sheet of plywood. It is not know the extent of deck repair that will be required, therefore the cost per sheet of plywood shall be applied regardless of the number of sheets needed. The new shingles are to be Lifetime Architectural Shingles equal to GAF Timberline HDZ with all appropriate underlayment's manufactured by and installed as per the shingle manufacturer's published instructions and consistent with all applicable building codes. All warranties shall be supplied to South Abington Township upon completion of the project. The existing snow guards may be salvaged and re-installed in the same layout as existing. The existing gutter is to remain and be protected from damage during reroofing. The cost of the building permit will be covered by the Owner. Either a Certified Check or a Bid Bond drawn to the order of South Abington Township, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid as bid security. Successful Bidder should be expected to execute and file the proposed contract and to furnish and pay for performance, payment, and other bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the performance and payment of all costs thereof within ten (10) days after the issuance of the intent to award of the contract South Abington Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible, qualified Bidder
